The long-awaited K24Z3 swap kit is finally here. If you’re not familiar with this new option from KMiata, review our recent blog post here.
If you’re undecided if a K24Z3 swap or our original K24A2 swap is best suited to your goals, check out this comparison.
The K24Z3 Basic Conversion Kit provides customers with the bare minimum components to mount a K24Z3 engine in a 1990-2005 Miata engine bay. Most components in our larger packages are not included, as this kit is designed for DIY customers, or those looking to add a turbocharger, BMW transmission, or other custom modifications.
For customers looking for the same straightforward installation that we’ve done on our test car, we recommend the K24Z3 Ultimate Swap Package.
This kit includes:
-Machined engine mounts
-Engine mount pads
-Baffled aluminum V2 oil pan with pickup tube
-V2 K20 oil pump adapter
-KMiata RWD intake manifold
-K24Z3 upper coolant neck
Note: in order for this package to fit, a K20 Type S oil pump must be installed. Although a number of options are available for this upgrade, we recommend our K20 Type S oil pump package found here.
The K24Z7 engine is identical to the K24Z3, and can be used with this swap package.
