RWD K Series Valve Cover with Radium -10 AN Banjo
RWD K Series Valve Cover with Radium -10 AN Banjo
Since since some RWD K swaps locate the engine very close to the firewall, there is often little or no room for the valve cover breather.
This custom valve cover is our preferred solution for our E30 and 86 K swaps, but can be used in many other custom applications. Note that it not needed for the NA/NB Miata swaps due to ample firewall clearance.
Our valve cover starts as a used K24A core. First, the cover is hot tanked, stripped of all paint, and sandblasted.
Then we remove and weld the stock breather port closed and grind the weld to eliminate it completely. A bung is welded to the top of the cover, making use of the stock baffling inside. This bung is designed to pair with a Radium Engineering banjo fitting with a -10 AN outlet.
The cover is then powder coated with a factory style Honda wrinkle red or black coating that is attractive and extremely durable. The cover is then thoroughly cleaned again to remove any debris, and the text has the coating ground off it for that distinct OEM Honda look.
The -10 AN outlet can be routed to our preferred Radium Catch Can or back into the intake piping on street cars. The banjo can be rotated in any position to fit a wide range of setups. For those building a K24A swapped 86, check out our complete KPower 86 Catch Can Kit that pairs very nicely with this valve cover.
