Instead of just adapting one of our existing engine mounts to the 86 chassis, we felt that this swap warranted its own unique mount design.
This mount kit uses OEM Subaru Impreza engine mount pads that slot right into the factory FA20 mount holes in the subframe. Our laser-cut, tig-welded, and powder-coated engine-mount brackets neatly attach the K24 to the Impreza mount pads, providing a factory-style installation.
These mounts drop the K24 crank centerline 2.5” lower than the FA20, and also relocate the engine and transmission 4” further back. This perfect positioning provides better balance and weight distribution than stock, as well as optimal hood and ground clearance.
Thanks to the rubber mount pads, there is a significant reduction in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) in the cabin over other K swap mounts on the market. While these brackets are compatible with OEM STi mounts, our testing showed no performance gain on track, and only a slight increase in NVH.
We recommend running the supplied rubber mounts for all street and track cars, and only changing to an STi or aftermarket Impreza mount for the most extreme applications.
This mount kit includes a left- and right-mount bracket, two mount pads, and all necessary hardware.

These engine mounts bolt to the following engines: JDM K24A RBB, K24A2, K24A3, K24A4, K20Z3, K20Z4, and the less desirable K24A8. They do NOT fit K20A2, K20Z1, or K24A1 blocks due to incompatible bolt-hole locations on the left side of the block.
