The Acuity Hall Effect K series throttle position sensor is our new go-to TPS option. While the OEM B series TPS is much more reliable than the OEM K series TPS, we have still do experience an occasional failure on race cars that see high RPM vibration for extended periods of time.

And while we typically use B series throttle bodies for cost and fitment reasons, this K series TPS can easily be bolted to our B series throttle body with the optional TPS adapter ($16).

This TPS features:

Contact-less Hall-Effect technology provides increased precision and reliability over wiper-style designs
Fiber-reinforced composite housing is more durable than OEM sensors
Integral o-ring seal replaces the low-quality OEM style paper gasket.
Durable, rolled connector pins will not become damaged during installation like many aftermarket alternatives
Extended calibration range ensures each sensor can be calibrated exactly within the OEM range

Long story short, this TPS is the most reliable option anywhere, and also provides smoother low RPM, part throttle drivability. We generally find that this is the range that the stock TPS begins to fail.
