Building a K powered car and need a manifold that has a throttle body pointing towards the transmission or the crank pulley? This Skunk2 Ultra race manifold offers flexibility to get your swap done!
You have a few options for accessorizing this manifold:
- Plenum volume
- Drive by Cable throttle body and adapter
- B series KPower 74mm TB and adapter
- K series Skunk2 Pro 74mm TB and adapter
- K series Skunk2 Alpha 74mm TB and adapter
Boy those are quite a few options, lets break it down!
Adding plenum spacers is generally needed for forced induction builds. If you have the space for them, the 1 liter spacer is recommended for 600hp builds, and the 2 liter spacer is recommended for 1000hp builds.
Just like this intake manifold, B series throttle bodies do not have idle motors built in to them. If you don't have room for a bulky idle motor to hang on the bottom of a K series throttle body or if you track/race your car, the engine vibrations may cause long term damage to the idle motor sooner than you think. In these cases we recommend our KPower idle motor relocation kit and to mount this plate to the chassis of your car. Be sure to use double ply rubber hose to ensure the line doesn't collapse.
We do recommend customers build braces to support this intake manifold from engine vibration. Be advised that for some applications where the throttle cable holder is positioned on the plenum, a custom bracket is needed. For a simpler install in general, we recommend our KPower intake manifold that has a throttle cable holder, idle motor mounting provision, and works with EP3 idler pulleys while also not requiring the water pump housing to be heavily modified.

Using the latest in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software; Skunk2 Racing has created a three-piece modular design that allows for easy disassembly, porting, and plenum volume changes through the use of a removable plenum and optional plenum spacers. The result is a design that is less restrictive, yielding both torque and power gains well over many of the competitors.
