KPower Accessory Belt Options
We at KPower have been working hard the past ten years to develop world class K series swaps for many different chassis platforms. This has led us to engineer many solutions for air conditioning, hydraulic power steering, and automatic/manual belt tensioners.
Many customers call in asking about how certain components would fit on a universal K swap build. We feel it would be great for the community to see images of how these products fit on the K series engine, so for each product we offer click on the link and on the product page you will find these images!
However you build your swap, use the information and images in this blog and product pages to choose your components. Once you have everything installed, simply use a string and wrap it in the correction belt orientation. Then use a tape measure to order a 6 or 7-rib belt for your setup!
The key to the puzzle starts with our KPower Intake manifold. This manifold will suit any build and does not require you to grind or cut the factory water pump housing and/or automatic belt tensioner commonly found on the K series engines. Many belt tensioners and idlers are available based on your needs:
- Factory Honda automatic belt tensioners can be used with the stock USDM water pump housing
- Combine our KPower EP3 Idler pulley with this tensioner
- KPower Idler Pulley and Tensioner Delete Kit
- KPower Adjustable Eccentric Idler Pulley
For air conditioning systems, many of our kits include connection hoses, so you can take your assembled vehicle with these hoses to your favorite AC specialist repair shop and they can modify them to connect your AC pump to your chassis AC system.
- Factory 2004-2008 Acura TSX AC compressor
- Use factory Honda hardware to mount it
- KPower 1990-2005 NA/NB Miata Air Conditioning kit
- A compact compressor that fits in place of a stock K series AC compressor, mostly used for NA/NB Miatas and universal swaps in tight spaces
- KPower 2006-2015 NC Mazda Miata Air Conditioning kit
- Mounts on exhaust side of engine under the oil filter location
- Nice and low for turbo builds (See our ARTEC Turbo manifold)
We offer two hydraulic power steering systems for the K series engine.
- KPower 2006-2015 NC Mazda Miata Power Steering Kit
- Stock Mazda pump used, replaces EP3 Idler pulley and factory automatic belt tensioner assembly, must use USDM Water pump housing. Includes the above mentioned Eccentric Idler pulley.
- KPower BMW E30 Power Steering Kit
- Stock 2002-2004 Acura RSX-S pump used, mounts in place of factory Honda/Acura TSX AC compressor

We often do Turn Key Swaps here at KPower, and through this program we have assembled a list of belt sizes you can use as a starting point to order the correct belt for your setup. Every belt configuration below is factoring the use of a stock TSX alternator mounted to a USDM water pump housing.
As stated above, you will want to verify your belt size needs by measuring string length around all of the pulleys. We are sure you will find additional combinations other than what is listed below.
Note: any belt system that uses any NC accessories or pulleys will use a 6-rib belt (position this belt on the ribs farthest away from the engine). All other combinations work with a 7-rib belt.
