KPower Accessory Belt Options

We at KPower have been working hard the past ten years to develop world class K series swaps for many different chassis platforms. This has led us to engineer many solutions for air conditioning, hydraulic power steering, and automatic/manual belt tensioners.

Many customers call in asking about how certain components would fit on a universal K swap build. We feel it would be great for the community to see images of how these products fit on the K series engine, so for each product we offer click on the link and on the product page you will find these images!

However you build your swap, use the information and images in this blog and product pages to choose your components. Once you have everything installed, simply use a string and wrap it in the correction belt orientation. Then use a tape measure to order a 6 or 7-rib belt for your setup!

The key to the puzzle starts with our KPower Intake manifold. This manifold will suit any build and does not require you to grind or cut the factory water pump housing and/or automatic belt tensioner commonly found on the K series engines. For air conditioning systems, many of our kits include connection hoses, so you can take your assembled vehicle with these hoses to your favorite AC specialist repair shop and they can modify them to connect your AC pump to your chassis AC system.

    We offer two hydraulic power steering systems for the K series engine.  

     

    If you happen to be building a car and prefer electric power steering, we have options for the following supported chassis. If you have a car that is not on this list, please give us a call as we have other platforms we can get electric steering kits for!

    We often do Turn Key Swaps here at KPower, and through this program we have assembled a list of belt sizes you can use as a starting point to order the correct belt for your setup. Every belt configuration below is factoring the use of a stock TSX alternator mounted to a USDM water pump housing.

    As stated above, you will want to verify your belt size needs by measuring string length around all of the pulleys. We are sure you will find additional combinations other than what is listed below.

    Note: any belt system that uses any NC accessories or pulleys will use a 6-rib belt (position this belt on the ribs farthest away from the engine). All other combinations work with a 7-rib belt.
