We're excited to offer the new ARTEC Honda K series RWD manifold. This is a compact turbo manifold with external wastegate that works for most engine swaps we offer, as well as many others. We have tested it in our shop BRZ with fantastic results.
These have been designed for LHD however we have had customers fit them in RHD applications with minor modifications. We have confirmed bolt on fitment for the KPower swap packages we offer for the the 86 and E30 chassis. This will work for the NA/NB Miata’s with frame rail modifications, but not very much!
When building a turbo car, it is critical to consider the longevity of a manifold. Just because your friend told you their manifold worked well for them does not mean its the best option for you. Many people consider a welded tubular manifold but they are highly prone to cracking on the K series engine thanks to vibrations. The ARTEC cast one piece design is the best you can get, so instead of buying a less expensive or comparably priced tubular manifold from a fabricator, consider the downtime you will have and the price it will cost to re-fabricate your charge pipe, wastegate dump tube, downpipe, and coolant/oil plumbing once that welded manifold breaks.
